I'm so happy with this week's feature! My guest is no other than Danielle Thompson, a graphic designer, blogger, Esty shop owner, mama of two gorgeous boys... Are you tired yet? She's seriously amazing and such an inspiration to me.
Danielle lives in a 60's ranch full of vintage, kitsch and color. "I love an eclectic mix of new and vintage furniture and accessories, mostly from the 50's, 60's and 70's. My decor can never take itself too seriously, I guess that is my one and only rule. It needs to feel light and have a sense of humor injected into it somewhere", she says.
When I asked Danielle to participate in this feature I thought how hard it would be to choose just one corner of her magical home. But oh boy she did it! Wanna see which one is it?

Why did you choose this specific corner as your favorite?
I actually just finished this corner. It's been a work in progress for several months now and your feature gave me the excuse I needed to finish it up and take photos! I spend most of my time in this little corner of our living room (i.e. my "office" and creative area), so I guess that's why it's my current fav. Minus the ugly computer monitor, printer, keyboard and mouse pad, this corner holds so many of my favorite things, but mostly, my dolls! The dollhouse is something I've been planning to put together for eons and it finally came together. It's pretty much a dream.
What is your favorite object in this space? Where does it come from?
My favorite object would of course have to be the actual dollhouse structure. I searched and searched for the perfect design for it online and FINALLY found this shelf from
Waybasics. The "rooms" were the perfect height for my Blythes (I wanted them to be able to stand up) and the shape felt very mod to me and I knew the design would lend itself well to adding lots of patterned wallpaper, which was a must for me. I can't wait to add more and more miniatures and things. It's really too much fun for an adult woman to be having.

Which object you would like to have in this corner but still don't have?
I would like to add more rement miniatures. I realized after working on it that I have lots of kitchen themed rement, but nothing for a bedroom or living room, etc. Some fun decorative accessories are on my wishlist.
If you could change anything in this corner, what would it be?
Our home is very, very small, so if I could change anything, it would be to have more ROOM! I have to say though, that the smallness of my home is what makes it feel quaint and cozy and I have such a special place in my heart for this house. We have made our space issues work, and the challenges the small spaces have presented have actually been fun for me. But I do think I won't know what to do with myself when I have an entire room dedicated to all of my STUFF when we move one day. I might faint.
In your opinion, what makes a corner a favorite corner?
It has all of your favorite things in it. Mine certainly does. It has to be filled with lots of silly, frivolous things that just make you smile.
If you'd like to see more of this beautiful space, Danielle will be doing a full room tour on her blog later this week. Thank you Danielle for inviting us into you magical space!

Gosh, she is SO good at designing a space whether it be on the web or in a 3D space. I'm so jealous. Can someone please offer some sort of giveaway where I can win a chance to have my home redesigned by her? She's so awesome.
And you are too :)

Hey Lindsay! Haha, I would totally cover a wall with dolls if I had that awesome dolly house structure too. :-)
Isn't it lovely, N? She has such a great taste it's out of this world.
Oh thank you Moorea! But yeah, Danielle is totally awesome.
