When hubby and I went to Portland last Fall we stayed at this very hipster hotel. At the hotel entrance there was an old-fashioned photobooth -- the kind that has a curtain behind you, and a little turning bench, and a flash that blinds you. Of course we had to tried it out. After some unsuccessful shots and some monies spent (oh, that's why you have a photobooth, you clever hotel people), we ended up with a very cute series of portraits:
(I love how hubby is trying so hard not to blink on these)
Anyways, photobooths are awesome. But if you don't have the real thing near you, or if you don't want to spend cash on silly pictures that don't always turn out well, the Internet, oh helpful Internet, comes to the rescue.
I found out about La Photocabine via Natalia's blog. You can take some old-looking photobooth style photos using your webcam, and if you like the results you can print them or save them in your computer. The best thing? It's free so you can try it out as many times as you wish. Here's what I got:
Silly? Yes. Fun? Hell yes. I think it's a great activity for a Saturday afternoon. Enjoy!
I am loving your blog, Viviana - so glad you finally set one up! And the pics are adobs, as usual.
